Description
Description
Rubber Marine Hose is a heavy-duty, fuel-resistant hose designed for marine fuel delivery, engine connections, and onboard fuel transfer systems. Manufactured with a smooth black nitrile rubber inner tube, reinforced with high-strength polyester braids (with an additional wire helix for sizes 25 mm and above), and covered with a synthetic nitrile rubber blend, the hose provides excellent durability, fuel compatibility, and resistance to harsh marine environments. Conforming to BS EN ISO 7840 standards, Rubber Marine Hose is fully approved for marine fuel systems, ensuring safe and reliable performance across a wide range of applications. With an extended temperature range from -40°C to +100°C (peaks up to +120°C), the hose maintains flexibility and integrity under extreme operating conditions.
Key Features:
-
Inner Layer: Black smooth nitrile rubber for oil and fuel resistance.
-
Reinforcement: High-strength polyester braids; wire helix included in sizes 25 mm ID and above for added strength.
-
Outer Layer: Black synthetic nitrile blend for weathering, abrasion, and fuel resistance.
-
Operating Temperature: -40°C to +100°C (peak +120°C).
-
Working Pressure: 5 bar to 10 bar depending on size.
-
Burst Pressure: 15 bar to 30 bar (3:1 safety factor).
-
Internal Diameter Range: 5 mm to 51 mm.
-
Wall Thickness: 3.5 mm to 6 mm depending on diameter.
-
Bending Radius: 72 mm to 378 mm depending on size.
-
Standard: BS EN ISO 7840 compliant for marine fuel use.
The nitrile rubber construction ensures excellent resistance to petrol, diesel, oil, and related hydrocarbons, making it fully suited for marine fuel delivery and transfer. Polyester braid reinforcement provides dimensional stability and pressure strength, while the inclusion of a wire helix in larger diameters enhances suction capability and prevents collapse. Its robust outer cover resists saltwater, UV radiation, abrasion, and general marine wear, extending service life even in harsh conditions. Flexible across a wide temperature range, the hose remains easy to install and secure in confined onboard spaces.
Applications include marine fuel lines, engine feed hoses, deck-to-tank transfer, bilge systems, and general fuel and oil transfer in marine and offshore environments. Rubber Marine Hose is widely adopted across commercial shipping, leisure craft, and offshore platforms where safety, durability, and hydrocarbon resistance are critical requirements.
