Description
Description
Silicone 2 Ply Air Ducting is a lightweight, flexible hose designed for high-temperature air transfer in automotive, motorsport, and industrial applications. Manufactured by AutoSiliconeHoses, the ducting features a coated fibreglass inner wall, reinforced with a steel wire helix and glass fibre cord, and finished with a durable silicone outer layer. This multi-layer construction provides excellent flexibility, crush resistance, and thermal stability, making it suitable for extreme heat environments. Operating between -70°C and +310°C, with peak tolerance up to +350°C, the ducting ensures safe and reliable performance in demanding conditions.
Key Features:
Material: Coated fibreglass inner layer with silicone outer cover.
Reinforcement: Steel wire helix with glass fibre cord.
Internal Diameter Range: 25 mm to 200 mm.
Wall Thickness: 2.5 mm.
Bending Radius: 16 mm (25 mm ID) to 150 mm (200 mm ID).
Operating Temperature: -70°C to +310°C continuous, +350°C peak.
Construction: Lightweight, flexible, and crush resistant.
Length: Supplied in 4 metre coils.
Brand: AutoSiliconeHoses performance silicone.
Silicone 2 Ply Air Ducting combines flexibility with extreme temperature resistance, making it ideal for hot air extraction, engine induction, and cooling systems. The steel wire helix prevents collapse under vacuum or sharp bends, while the fibreglass reinforcement and silicone outer layer provide strength and resistance to heat, ozone, and vibration. Its lightweight design allows easy installation and routing, even in confined or complex layouts. With a wide diameter range from 25 mm to 200 mm, this ducting is adaptable to both small and large-scale airflow systems.
Applications include air intake systems, heater ducts, brake cooling, hot air extraction, fume removal, and industrial ventilation where extreme heat and flexibility are required. Distributed under the AutoSiliconeHoses brand, Silicone 2 Ply Air Ducting provides a professional-grade solution for engineers, tuners, and technicians who need lightweight, heat-resistant, and durable ducting for performance and industrial environments.
